In Memoriam
Stop all the clocks, turn off your phones,
Silence the piano and with quiet drums
Bring out her here, let the mourning be…
Tell the wind overhead,
Write on the cloud, “My Ela is dead”…
So, everyone knows that another short life was shortened
much more….20 - 30 years. Right?
She was my sunshine, my morning talk,
Her music recitals and love for Chopin,
Her taste and beauty, her daily hard work,
Her food, her home - it was not a random mess but a state of true art,
Her dreams cut short. She’s just been planning to see the world;
She thought her life would last forever, My God…she was so wrong!
The stars are not wanted; put out every one,
Stop the moon from glowing, order the sun not to shine,
Annoying birds not to sing. Nothing else you can do.
Rip your heart out and scream, “God, let me go too.”
