a prawdę - propagandą.

nadal byliby tacy pewni swojego zdania?

No trudno.

Knowing reality and accepting it are two different things.

Perhaps. But how can you accept what you cannot change if you don't know whether it truly cannot be changed?

Considering the context of your poem, do you belive you can change people? Or make them to change their behaviour towards you? When it comes to close relations I belive it may be possible due to healty, cooperative life. But when it comes to strangers, masses, randoms doesn't seem possible. Most of ppl are prejuduice and judgemental and this is how has always been. At the end u cannot change ppl but u can replace them.

I think there is a difference between changing someone and influencing their behaviour. I don't believe we can control who people become, but I do believe our actions, boundaries and the way we treat them can influence how they behave towards us. People aren't static - they learn, mature and sometimes change their views because of the people and experiences they encounter. And even if you can't change everyone, that doesn't mean you can't change anyone.

I also don't completely agree with “you cannot change people but you can replace them”. Replacing someone is an option when a relationship is unhealthy or when the other person refuses to change, but it doesn't prove that change is impossible. Sometimes people change precisely because someone gave them a reason to reconsider their behaviour.

And saying that most people are prejudiced and judgemental and that “this is how it has always been” is exactly where I'd be careful. People have always been capable of prejudice, yes, but people have also changed enormously. If they hadn't, social attitudes, relationships and entire societies wouldn't change at all.

So maybe the real question isn't whether we can change people, but how much influence we actually have over their change - and where that influence ends.
